60 Minute CFO®
Funeral Home Cohort
We are gathering a small group of Funeral Home owners and leaders who would like to be a part of an 8 week series of guided business finance classes and live coaching.
Business finance is less about knowing the numbers and more about what the numbers are trying to tell you. But few business leaders learn these key things.
Very few business owners get into business because they have a love of finance. But having a business comes with a duty to know and understand the language of business: FINANCE.
The good news is you don’t need to become a bookkeeper or CPA to do this, you simply need to know the key numbers and ratios to look at in order to effectively run your business.
Is this you when you sit down to analyze your monthly financial statements?
A pit forms in your stomach as you dread opening the reports.
You look at the Balance Sheet and wonder what the purpose of it is.
You open the income statement and look at the revenue line and net profit lines and can’t figure out why the profit isn’t the same number as the bank account balance.
Your eyes glaze over, you get distracted and get pulled in another direction. You’re too busy to figure this out.
You think you are likely doing OK, but have no idea how or why.
You know your bookkeeper or accountant will tell you if something is really wrong, so it’s better to get back to what you are really good at, running a funeral home.
If any of the above resonated with you, you are not alone.
What if instead, you felt:
Excited to see how the business performed last month
Able to scan your balance sheet and quickly understand how safe or liquid your business is
Proficient at looking at your Income Statement and understanding exactly what you can do to increase your net profit, and how to prepare for good/bad times ahead.
Sure of how much money you will have in the bank at the end of each month and/or year.
Able to sleep at night knowing that you know exactly how your business is doing, and how to get the most out of your bookkeeper and CPA.
Able to quickly spot opportunities for growth, acquisition or exit.
In lock step with your banker, understanding exactly what he/she wants to know about your business in order to service your loan.
Confident that the next generation of leadership will be able to understand why the business has been successful and how to keep it that way.
As part of this series you will get:
Lifetime access to 60 Minute CFO Academy, an online course ($549 value)
A physical copy of 60 Minute CFO, the book ($29.99 value)
12 hours of live group coaching with financial experts ($3,000 value)

WHAT OTHERS HAVE SAID
“Access to other industry professionals who have felt your pain and found solutions to problems you may be facing already makes this group worth its weight in gold.”
“Learning the interplay between the balance sheet and P&L has really allowed us to strengthen the relationship with our bank.”
“Group discussion and feedback related to different revenue streams within this group added roughly $500,000 in revenue in 2020. This is money we would otherwise have not of collected. This is related primarily to more efficient utilization of resources, valuation, and packing supply sales ideas that were all spurned by members of our group.”
“Monitoring the key ratios in our business and comparing them with companies from around the country have given me a new understanding of what is possible and where I want to take the business.”
“One of the biggest draws for me was the financial management training and ratio comparisons among members. It’s hasn’t just helped me to see where we as a business could add revenue and cut costs, but it’s also made me a more financially savvy leader.”
